How It Works: 3 Simple Steps
Your phone. Your earbuds or watch. Nothing more.
1. Player phones stay in the dugout
Each player joins your team, joins a channel, and leaves their phone in the dugout. Keep phone elevated off the ground and in good line-of-sight to their position on the field.
2. Players wear their own earbud or watch on the field
Each player uses one audio device, paired to their own phone in the dugout:
Apple Watch (Series 6+) or Android smartwatch
Bluetooth earbud (Class 1)
Coach makes the pitch selection and it routes from the players’ phones in the dugout straight to their earbud or watch. (Phones never go on the field.)
3. Coaches talk or send plays. Players see and hear play or hear coach.
Coaches can now speak or send pitch calls to all players through The Headset App on their phones.

FAQs
Do all players need their own phone?
Good question! Actually, not necessarily. Each player needs their own phone if it's connected to a watch or a headset. However, if two players want to use an earbud, you can certainly have one player use one earbud and a second player use the other! (It's a cool "hack" we're seeing teams start to use.)
What if players don’t have smartwatches?
No problem. Bluetooth earbuds work great (arguably even better). Teams often mix devices depending on position, player preference, and budget.
Will this work at our field?
If your dugout has normal cell signal (or even Wi-Fi), The Headset App works. You only need one bar of data or connection to the internet to run The Headset App.
How long does setup take?
Initial setup will take most teams between 10-15 minutes:
