Coach Communication Without Radios: The Standard Setup
1) Create channels (the simple map)
All-Staff (for timeouts/announcements)
Offense / Defense / Special Teams (football) or Bench / Bullpen (baseball)
Optional: Position groups (O-Line, box)
2) Assign roles (who talks vs who listens)
Assign who’s primary talkers for lead coaches on each channel.
Set assistants/players to Listen-Only.
Assign secondary “talkers” on each channel.
3) Invite the team (in seconds)
Send invites from the app in the “Team Tab.”
New users appear in Members section; set their role (Talk or Listen-Only).
4) Your first practice flow (5 minutes)
Segment 1 (3 min): “Sound check” on All-Staff; everyone hears the lead coach.
Segment 2 (1 min): Break into channels (Off/Def or Bench/Bullpen).
Segment 3 (1 min): Check and confirm comms with everyone.
5) Game-day tweaks (copy/paste)
Keep All-Channels button ready for announcements.
If your league requires one-way to athletes, keep them Listen-Only (or use watch notifications or earbuds).
